The Pangoan Desert recruits Pangoans: Umbral all-rounders with equal attack and defense that no combat type counters. It is the most common site on a home island, and most armies in Ove are built on it.
How recruiting works
Every unlocked Pangoan Desert recruits Pangoan without a break, also while you are offline. At level 1 a site recruits one Pangoan every 1m (60 per hour); each level adds 25% of that, up to 3× at level 9. Several sites of the same kind add up.
New units appear on your home portal. Once your home island is at its strength limit, further units are turned into ranking points instead, and after a long absence the game only counts the first 7 days.
Faster recruiting
- Recruiting artifacts from the Nexus or the Artifact Forge.
- Recruitment Surge (+20%) in the Temple, or Pangoan Call (+60% for Pangoans only).
Levels
Every site starts at level 1 and can be upgraded to level 9 with Soulstones. The cost shown is for reaching that level. While Builder's Grace is active, level-ups cost 20% less.

Getting a Pangoan Desert
A new home island comes with one Pangoan Desert ready to use, plus 11 locked plots.
Unlocking a locked plot costs 10'000Soulstones.
You can also turn any unlocked site (except the Temple) into a Pangoan Desert for 10'000Soulstones. The new site starts at level 1, and the levels of the site you replaced are lost. You can have up to 40 of them, locked plots included.
Tips
- Pangoans attack and defend equally well, so they are never the wrong unit to have. Fill the plots around your portal with Pangoan Deserts first.
- Pangoan Call speeds up only Pangoans, but by far more than Recruitment Surge. With many Pangoan Deserts it is the better spell.
