Market

The Market swaps Soulstones for Wild Essence and back. All of Ove trades on the same market, so the price moves with what every player buys and sells.

How the price works

The price is the number of Soulstones one Wild Essence costs. Without trades it sits at 1 : 1. Buying Wild Essence pushes the price up, selling it pushes the price down, and the bigger the trade, the further the price moves during it.

When nobody trades, the price drifts back toward 1 : 1: half of the remaining gap closes every 8 hours. It never leaves the range of 0.1 to 10 Soulstones per Wild Essence.

Tax

Every trade pays 20% of what you put in as tax. The tax leaves the game, so the Market removes Soulstones and Wild Essence from Ove with every trade, and buying and then selling straight back always loses value.

Example at the base price

Paying 20'000 Soulstones costs 4'000 in tax, and the remaining 16'000 buy 15'948 Wild Essence. The price afterwards is 1.006 Soulstones per Wild Essence.

Daily limit

How much you can put into the Market per day depends on its level: from 20'000 at level 1 to 500'000 at level 9. The limit counts what you pay, Soulstones and Wild Essence together, and resets at midnight UTC.

Wild Essence bought on the Market is ordinary Wild Essence. Anything above 250'000 is cut at the end of the month, so spend it before the month turns over.

Levels

Every site starts at level 1 and can be upgraded to level 9 with Soulstones. The cost shown is for reaching that level. While Builder's Grace is active, level-ups cost 20% less.

Getting a Market

Turn any unlocked site (except the Temple) into a Market for 50'000Soulstones. The new site starts at level 1, and the levels of the site you replaced are lost.

Tips

  • Check the price before you trade. After others have bought a lot of Wild Essence it is expensive; wait a few hours and it drifts back.
  • Split big trades across days: a smaller trade moves the price less, and the limit resets every day.
  • Wild Essence pays for field buffs on event islands, the Temple's stronger spells and Nexus artifacts. Buying it lets a home-island player use them without harvesting.
