The Spotter Naki is a scout, not a fighter. It spies on enemy fields to reveal their army and buffs, and Spotter Naki on your own fields stop enemy spies.
Strengths and weaknesses
Umbral units stand outside the combat type cycle: the Spotter Naki never gets an effectiveness bonus, and no unit ever gets one against it.
Getting Spotter Naki
Only treasure fields recruit Spotter Naki, in Ove and in Dominion. Hold a treasure field to build up your scouts.
Espionage
Send Spotter Naki alone to spy; mixed with other units they simply fight like any other unit. A spy move takes one second.
- Success: you send more Spotter Naki than the target field has. Your spies return home unharmed with a report of every unit and buff on the field.
- Failure: the field has as many Spotter Naki as you sent, or more. All your spies die, and the defender loses the same number of Spotter Naki. Your report shows nothing about the field.
For most system fields a single Spotter Naki is enough. Against players it comes down to who has more.
Protecting your fields
Keep a few Spotter Naki on your important fields: a spy only succeeds with more scouts than you have there. In Dominion, the Raider Naki's invisibility cloak can also hide part of an army from spies.
