A hero is a single unit with the strength of an army. Each special unit has one: the Teryx Hero, the Raider Hero and the Ovivi Hero. The Teryx Hero is the one you will meet most, because it is the only hero in Ove.

Revival is the Dominion cooldown before a fallen hero can return. Like their special units, heroes can do what the special unit's core ability does: the Teryx Hero flies, the Raider Hero steals Soulstones, the Ovivi Hero teleports with a large escort.
Heroes in Ove
In Ove, the Teryx Hero Lair on your home island summons a Teryx Hero every 4 days. Sent together with Teryx, it also gives them the lair's attack bonus. The Champions' Ascent spell multiplies the attack and defense of all your heroes by 10 while it is active.
Heroes in Dominion
The Teryx Hero legend starts a round with 2 Teryx Heroes. Otherwise a hero is the last step of a special unit's skill tree in the runes, which few rounds ever reach.
