Giantslayer wears strong defenders down in waves. When one of its attacks fails, part of every attacking unit type fights its way back home instead of dying. Starting Spotter Naki let it spy on a garrison before it commits.
Loadout and perks
Giantslayer starts every Dominion round with 100 Druid Naki, 25 Spotter Naki and +50 offense runes.
- When an attack fails, 40% of each attacking unit type returns home.
How to play
- Scout, probe, grind. Spy first, then send committed waves: every failed attack hands part of your force back, so you keep up pressure where others run dry.
- The retreat counts per unit type and rounds down: a tiny probe rounds to nothing and simply dies.
- Most of a failed attack is still lost. The retreat lowers the price of pressure; it does not make attacking free.
Synergies and counters
Works well with
Offense runes and attack artifacts strengthen every wave, and a strong recruitment economy tops the returning survivors up for the next one.
Watch out for
Healing field upgrades are the hard counter: a defender who heals after every wave recovers faster than you can grind. The retreat also only helps when you are the attacker.
Verdict
An attrition legend for players who like to keep swinging. Pick Giantslayer to grind stubborn defenders down one wave at a time.
