Field Buffs

A field buff strengthens one field: its attacks, its defense, its recruitment or its production. Some fields spawn with buffs, and you can buy upgrades on the fields you hold. Portals never have buffs.

Buff types

  • Attack: stronger attacks sent from this field.
  • Defense: stronger defense when this field is attacked.
  • Recruiting: this field recruits faster.
  • Harvest: this field harvests more Wild Essence (Ove event islands).

Attack and defense buffs are regular buffs: they add up with runes, artifacts and spells before the effectiveness multiplier.

Levels

Every buff has four levels. The value at each level:

Buying upgrades

On a field you hold, each upgrade raises one buff by a level. In Dominion you pay Soulstones; on Ove event islands you pay Wild Essence. The cost of the upgrade to each level:

Field Buff Specialist pays a fraction of the Dominion prices, Glass Cannon cannot buy defense and Pangoan Goddess cannot buy recruiting. In Ove, Builder's Grace makes upgrades cheaper.

Plague and healing

Two special upgrades change what happens after a fight:

  • Plague: when an attacker conquers a plagued field, 30% of the attacking survivors die as well. Plague Ward and the Plague Bringer are immune.
  • Healing: when this field's units win a fight, 60% of their losses are healed.

Each costs 100Soulstones in Dominion and 1'000Wild Essence on Ove event islands.

Where buffs spawn

  • Starter islands in Dominion and Ove home islands have no field buffs.
  • Inner Dominion islands and Ove event islands can spawn with random buffs; bigger islands get more and stronger ones.
