The worlds of Rise in Time are made of islands, each a small map of fields with one portal. Which islands exist, and how long they last, depends on the mode.
Islands in Ove
- Home island: every player's own base. It cannot be attacked and never disappears; its plots hold your sites.
- Event islands: small, medium and large islands that appear every hour and vanish after a few days. Bigger ones produce more Wild Essence and are fought over harder. New players also get their own small starter islands.
- Rock roosts: rare islands that are won through a shared Wild Essence pool instead of by force.
Islands in Dominion
A Dominion map is a set of rings that vanish from the outside in:
| Ring | Islands | Vanishes after |
|---|---|---|
| Starter islands | 20 | 10 minutes |
| Common islands | 8 | 15 minutes |
| Rare islands | 4 | 18 minutes |
| Supreme island | 1 | Never |
- Each player starts on a starter island of their own, which nobody else can attack.
- The common and rare rings start in the hands of system armies, stronger the further in you go.
- The supreme island in the centre stays until the end and decides the round.
Everything on an island, units included, is lost when it vanishes, so move inward in time.
