Every island has exactly one portal, and it is the island's only gate. Attacks and support from other islands always start and land on a portal, so whoever holds it controls the way in and out.
Travelling between islands
To move units to another island, send them from a portal you hold to the portal of the target island.
| Mode | Attack | Support |
|---|---|---|
| Dominion | 30 s | 5 s |
| Ove | 60 s | 5 s |
The time is the same whatever you send. A move to a neighbouring field on the same island takes 1 second.
Taking a portal
Winning an island's portal starts a siege, both in Dominion and on Ove event islands. You then have a few minutes to fight your way to the island's Crystal Heart; capture it, and the whole island is yours.
What a portal can do
- It does not recruit units and cannot get field buffs or upgrades.
- Portals cannot be demolished, not even by the Demolisher.
- Teammates can share a portal: one player owns it, and the others' units on it count as support for its defense.
- Gatebreaker gets a large attack bonus against portals.
