Effectiveness

The Athlas is an Astral unit and gets the effectiveness bonus against all Infernal units: Guard Naki, Ranax, Raider Naki, Teryx, Raider Hero, Teryx Hero.

With the highest attack value of all common units (120), the Athlas is a terrifying force. As an Astral attacker he is the perfect counter against Infernal armies built around Guard Naki, Ranax or Teryx.

Ineffectiveness

Despite his strength, the Athlas is not unbeatable. As an Astral unit he is weak against Primal units: Forest Spirit, Grass Spirit, Elder Spirit, Nyxi. Cheap Spirit walls — most importantly the Elder Spirit — can stop an Athlas push surprisingly efficiently.
