Strengths & Weaknesses
Effectiveness
The Athlas is an Astral unit and gets the effectiveness bonus against all Infernal units: Ranax, Raider Naki, Teryx, Raider Hero, Teryx Hero.
With the highest attack value of all common units (120), the Athlas is a terrifying force. As an Astral attacker he is the perfect counter against Infernal armies built around Ranax, Teryx or Raider Naki.
Ineffectiveness
Despite his strength, the Athlas is not unbeatable. As an Astral unit he is weak against Primal units: Forest Spirit, Grass Spirit, Guard Naki, Elder Spirit, Nyxi. Cheap Spirit walls — most importantly the Elder Spirit — can stop an Athlas push surprisingly efficiently, and Guard Naki or Nyxi attacks hit Athlas defenders with their effectiveness bonus.
