Effectiveness
The Ranax is an Infernal unit and gets the effectiveness bonus against all Primal units: Forest Spirit, Grass Spirit, Elder Spirit, Nyxi.
The Ranax is by far the most brutal common attacker in the world of Rise in Time. With 90 attack he out-values most other units even without the effectiveness bonus — and against Spirit or Nyxi defenders the bonus makes him devastating.
Ineffectiveness
As an Infernal unit, the Ranax is weak against Astral units: Athlas, Vahloc, Ovivi, Ovivi Hero. And the Ranax truly deserves the title "glass cannon": while devastating in attack, with only 10 defense he dies almost instantly when he has to defend. Committing to Ranax is a high-risk, high-reward decision.
