Beastmaster

Beastmaster opens with a swarm. On top of the standard Druid Naki you bring 125 Nyxi, giving you the largest turn-one army of any legend. Early Dominion is about map presence, and nobody grabs more of it faster than Beastmaster.

How to play Beastmaster

  • Grab fields early and widely. Your surplus units let you contest two or three fields while others can only hold one — snowball that board presence into an economy lead.
  • Trade aggressively while you have the numbers advantage. Your edge is largest in the opening minutes, so spend it before opponents catch up on recruitment.
  • Convert numbers into control. Use the swarm to lock control fields and treasure fields that pay off for the rest of the round.

Works well with

Beastmaster loves anything that sustains the swarm — pair it with Recruitment Specialist or Blue Blood to keep the army rolling long after the opening.

Watch out for

A pure swarm thins out against efficient defense and area punishment; Tank walls hold, and Plague Bringer turns your dense stacks into a liability.
