Legends

Legends are the playable characters of Dominion. At the start of every Dominion round you are offered 3 random legends and pick one of them — and with it a unique package of starter units, resources and permanent round perks. Legends only exist for the length of one round: when the round ends, the choice resets with everything else.

Where Legends exist

  • Legends are a Dominion concept (including special and ranked Dominion rounds) and also appear in the Tutorial.
  • In Ove, the persistent world, there are no legends — long-term progression works through other systems there.
  • A legend applies for exactly one round. There is no legend progression across rounds.

How you get your Legend

  • When you join a Dominion round, the game offers you 3 random legends from the full catalog.
  • You pick one of them before the round starts. If you don't pick in time, one of your offered legends is assigned automatically.
  • In a Skirmish, the rules are different: you select any legend from the full catalog when setting up the match.
  • In the Tutorial, everyone plays the Beastmaster so the introduction stays consistent.

What a Legend defines

  • Your starter units and starting Soulstones.
  • Your starting runes (for example extra offense or defense runes).
  • One or more unique effects, such as cheaper upgrades, stronger artifacts or special abilities on conquest.
  • Some legends also come with restrictions (for example, no defense upgrades) that make their strengths more pronounced.
  • Some bots play with dual legends, combining the perks of two legends at once — human players always play a single legend.

Notable Legend details

  • Recruitment Specialist does not receive the production bonus from Battle Points — the doubled recruitment speed replaces it.
  • Demolisher demolishes their own fields for Soulstones. The demolished field becomes locked for everyone; other players can unlock it again for a Soulstone fee. Starter fields, portals and the supreme island cannot be demolished.
  • Loaded Dice turns every treasure into a gamble: lower tiers pay out multiplied rewards, the highest tier busts to zero — and first-time conquests can occasionally upgrade a treasure field to a higher tier.
  • Stormcaller earns Storm Charges from successfully defended PVP attacks and spends them on empowered island-to-island attacks.
  • Glass Cannon and Pangoan Goddess carry restrictions: no defense field upgrades and no recruiting field upgrades respectively.

Choosing from your offers

  • Since your 3 offers are random, it pays to know every legend — you rarely get the same choice twice.
  • New to the game? Defensive or economic offers like Tank or Soulstone Hoarder are forgiving choices.
  • Aggressive players get the most out of Glass Cannon or Gatebreaker — high pressure, high risk.
  • Economy-focused players can scale with Treasure Master, Loaded Dice or Blue Blood.
  • Legend perks interact with the fight system, field buffs and runes — pick the offer that best matches your plan for the round.
