Soulstones

Soulstones are a core currency in both Dominion and Ove, but they are used very differently in each mode. Dominion treats them as a short-round tactical resource, while Ove uses them for long-term progression.

Soulstones in Dominion

In Dominion, Soulstones are an in-round resource. They reset every match and are spent to gain short-term power during that specific round.

  • Treasure looting is the primary source of Soulstones during a round.
  • Combat rewards and siege rewards can also add Soulstones.
  • Some legends can start a round with additional Soulstones.

Typical Dominion sinks are Runes, Field Buffs and other round-specific tactical upgrades.

Soulstones in Ove

In Ove, Soulstones are part of the persistent long-term economy. They feed your protected home-island progression and your overall account growth over time.

  • Home island buildings and progression systems consume Soulstones.
  • Event-island activities can provide additional Soulstones.
  • Dominion can also reward Soulstones back into Ove as cross-mode progression.

For the current long-term mode overview, see Ove.

Important distinction

Old Evolution explanations are no longer the correct player-facing reference. When reading Orb pages, interpret Soulstones through the current Dominion and Ove systems instead.

Exact values, reward packages and upgrade costs can still change over time, so the backend remains the final source of truth.
